This past Thursday, I had the privilege of being a featured guest and panelist at the C3 Sound and Screen Finance Forum in Atlanta, alongside other esteemed panelists, Caroline King (Founder of Cinema Life), and Deirdre McDonald (Founding Artistic Director of BronzeLens Film Festival). As a panelist, it was amazing to provide insight into my processes as a filmmaker. I also shared how I took my web series and successfully got it onto four major streaming platforms!
During the panel, we discussed creating projects that investors find interesting and developing financial models to engage investors and help them understand how they will receive a return on their investment. We also touched on the responsibilities filmmakers have towards their funders. Lastly, we each offered our unique perspectives on the business, which I hope the audience found beneficial. I am proud to have been a part of this event, and more events like these should take place for creatives in Atlanta. Whenever there is an opportunity for me to assist other artists and creatives, I'm all in!
